How to submit a correction
Identify the specific page, the specific statement, and — if possible — the primary source that shows a different figure or fact. This site prioritizes primary government, agency, and peer-reviewed sources over secondary reporting when evaluating a correction.

Corrections Log
Earth-removal fee corrected from $0.15 to $0.25 per cubic yard for all revenue calculations
Two independent, dated Town documents (the FY2027 budget and a January 6, 2026 Select Board Agenda Item Report) confirm the rate was adjusted to $0.25/cubic yard, plus a $200/acre administrative fee. The Town's separate, still-live Earth Removal Permit Information page had not been updated and continued to show $0.15/cubic yard. Fee revenue calculations sitewide now use $0.25/cubic yard; the conflicting $0.15 figure is still shown and cited, not removed, alongside its own calculated revenue total.
Lakeville Chapter 140 (Earth Work Bylaw) page rewritten from verified bylaw text
The page previously described nine paraphrased standards inferred from general knowledge of earth-removal bylaws, not Lakeville's actual ordinance text. It has been rewritten using the verified bylaw (via eCode360), with the exact permit-denial standard quoted and ten conditions in near-verbatim language.
Truck-trips chart corrected to match its own accessible data table
A chart showed a "Total movements" bar at 645,000, which contradicted the page's own accessible data table showing 430,000 for the same figure. Bars were relabeled unambiguously and the contradicting value corrected.
Dead and unspecific source links corrected
An MBTA schedule link pointed at a 404'd route ID and was corrected to the live route. A news-article citation pointed at a publication's homepage rather than the specific article and was corrected to the direct article URL.
