Methodology
Every statement on this site carries one of five labels. Here is exactly what each one means, and what it deliberately does not claim.
60-Second Summary
- Five classifications appear throughout the site: Confirmed Fact, Calculated Scenario, Potential Impact, Resident Observation, and Requires Determination.
- A classification describes how well-supported a statement is — not how important or how alarming it is.
- "Requires Determination" means the public record does not yet answer the question either way. It is not a claim that something is being hidden.
- Calculated Scenarios show their formula, inputs, and assumptions, so a reader can check or challenge the math.
Confirmed Fact
Directly supported by an authoritative document.
Calculated Scenario
A mathematical result of clearly stated assumptions.
Potential Impact
A recognized possible effect, supported by engineering, health, environmental, or economic research — not a site-specific measurement.
Resident Observation
Firsthand local experience, not independently measured.
Requires Determination
A project, engineering, or regulatory detail that remains unresolved in the public record.
How this differs from a factual audit
